At first My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult was supposed to be a movie, so the main members of the group, Groovie Mann and Buzz McCoy, went to the heads of Waxtrax records trying to convice them to fund their movie. The people at Waxtrax didn't really have a strong interest in the movie, after hearing the soundtrack however, they made a record deal with My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult thus this being the beginning of the Thrill Kill Kult.

The band has two main members, Groovie Mann (Frank Nardello, lead vocals and lyrics) and Buzz McCoy (Marston Daley, vocals, lyrics and guitar). Also, in the Thrill Kill Kult are the Bomb Gang Girlz.  They are Jackie Blacque (vocals), Cinderella Pussie (vocals) and Arena Rock (vocals).
